Tips & Warnings
A big part of the hustle is playing your character. You must play it till the end, otherwise you'll be spotted as a hustler.
There are all sorts of variations on this hustle. One way is to pretend you're drunk, rash with your money, and unable to play well. Another is to have a partner beat you in front of everyone and then say he won't take any more of your money. When someone else volunteers for the job, you suddenly play a lot better. Be creative, and be careful.
Making a career of hustling is not recommended.
Be careful not to hustle a hustler.

This is the way I go about it. I try to play just as good as my opponent, but just a little bit better. He misses, I'll miss, but make sure I don't leave him an easy shot. If he goes on a run, I'll go on a run. If I can't leave a hard shot at the 8 towards the end I'll just win straight out. LOOK HUMBLE, LOOK RELIEVED that you pulled that one out of your bum. Make comments like "Well you left me so well" and "I thought you had me that game." They will think that they messed up and they will get the next game for sure, and like to up the ante. If you do lose once in a while you look like an average Joe. Up the ante yourself. He should jump all over it. Than take all you can and explain after he is broke that you just caught fire. It happens. Personaly, I don't believe in giving games away. NEVER. Play your skills down, Yes. Also stroke thier ego. Compliments... -

A great hustle is to allow your mark the opportunity to take 3 of their balls off the table after your break. Seems like a great deal to them, but the deal is really in your favor. Especially on a bar table, having 3 of your opponents balls off the table allows you far more room to run the table on them. An even better version is to make the offer if they let you decide which balls. You remove all their ducks or dead-in balls, then any balls clustered with yours, then any others of theirs in the open. Never remove any of their clustered balls. A lot of novice and big ego players fall for this one.
