"I tell my boxers to use the triangle theory, with their body as the base of the triangle and their opponent at the tip of the triangle. Any time your opponent steps away from the tip, you then step in the direction that brings the tip back to your target." -Joe Guson, pro boxing trainer

Difficulty: Moderately challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Keep a balanced body position, with your feet at a diagonal, 45-degree stance to your opponent.

  2. Step 2

Stay on the balls of your feet and close to your opponent, but don't fall forward.

  3. Step 3

Trap your opponent at the tip of your triangle.

  4. Step 4

Punch your opponent back into the triangle with body blows to his sides.

  5. Step 5

Hold your chin down, your elbows in tight and your forearms up to protect yourself.
