Tips & Warnings
"A common mistake with body blows is that people will overreach. When you do that, you lose power and expose yourself to counter punches," says Guson.

When you opponent throws their jab, quickly duck under their jab and throw your right hand to the stomach. Then move to your right and stand up, throwing jabs to the chin. -

To get more power when throwing body shots, use your legs to shift your weight back and forth and roll your shoulders while you twist your hips. Always bob your head from side to side while you throw your punches to avoid being hit by counterpunches. -

When you want to give a nice shot to the stomach, a good idea is to extend your shoulder forward as if going to give a shot to the face. This will automatically make your opponent put his hands high to block your punch to the head. Now his body is open for a quick shot with your other hand. Speed is important to pull this one off.
