How to Tat a Josephine Ring

The Josephine Ring is also known as the Josephine Knot and Josephine Picot.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Make the Josephine Knot or Ring by repeatedly making either the first half of the double stitch or the second half of the double stitch - not the complete double stitch.

  2. Step 2

    Make a series of six or eight half-stitches.

  3. Step 3

    Close the ring tightly. It will form a knotlike stitch.

Tips & Warnings
  • Josephine Rings normally don't contain picots.

on 9/26/2008 Absolutely no help at all. There should be detailed instructions telling how to do the stitch. This is a waste of space.
