How to Make Old Jeans Into a Pillow

One pair of jeans can become two comfy pillows for your teen.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Cut one leg (thigh) off of the jeans

  2. Step 2

    Hem each end so that they don't fall apart

  3. Step 3

    About 3 inches in from the hem, gather and secure with a rubber band.

  4. Step 4

    Tie a ribbon around the band.

  5. Step 5

    Stuff with pillow stuffing, old shredded cloth, or down.

  6. Step 6

    Tie the second end as you did with the first.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can do the same with old pants of any kind.
  • To hem, you can also use hot glue if you don't have a sewing machine.
  • Great for kids to write on with washable markers.
