Things You'll Need:
- Flowers
- Candies
- Jewelry
-
Step 1
Investigate. Would she like a mellow, low-key day to sleep in? Or does a day out on the town seem more appealing? Make it happen.
-
Step 2
Offer her options. Would she like to go shopping? Have a massage? Go skiing? (Cross-country's OK if she's in the early stages of pregnancy.)
-
Step 3
Consider old standbys like flowers, candy - probably a good bet during pregnancy - or jewelry.
-
Step 4
Write her a card and let her know how happy you are to be building a family together.
-
Step 5
Celebrate the two of you by doing stuff you like together - just spending time in bed or going to a movie. If this is your first baby, there's not much time left for just the two of you.
-
Step 6
Offer a night in a bed-and-breakfast, if that's likely to appeal to her.
-
Step 7
Ask her what she wants for dinner. Is it Thai food she's craving? Or maybe a big, juicy steak?
-
Step 8
Try not to focus on things that you can't do - like go out drinking or rock climbing - or any of those things that she used to love.
-
Step 9
Let her know that you think she's marvelously sexy and attractive, especially as that belly grows.

on 4/28/2009 Nice article. I think it will really help a lot of men out this mothers day. A great place to look for ideas is the Jewelry Information Center website (my personal go-to). JIC has tons of great ideas that work for any occasion. They are the web source for just about anything jewelry related, so if you're stumped for what to get, JIC can certainly be a great help with ideas and options. My brother found some great gift ideas for his wife on their first mothers day - JIC has this great feature called the Gift Finder, it allows you to narrow down your choices by category, material and price which comes in handy for us guys. If you need more ideas I highly suggest checking out JIC.

on 1/28/2008 My perfect V-Day gift was from my hubby. I was about 7 months pregnant and he got me a Beautiful Gift Box filled with products made just for pregnant moms!! Not only was the thought nice but the products were great. I still use some of them now and I am not pregnant. They have a lotion that smells sooo heavenly, I want to eat it...it is called Extreme Mama Creme , and it is all made with organic ingredients!! They offer postpartum stuff too,for postpartum moms as well. They are called The Sp-OIL-ed Mama. I think there website is www.thespoiledmama.com if not google them-
