Instructions
-
-
1
Consider letting her sleep in! Take the children out for a morning stroll or drive so she can sleep solidly without waking up to any cries or fretting.
-
2
Bring home breakfast - bagels or muffins, fresh juice and her favorite coffee or tea.
-
-
3
Send her to the gym, out for a bike ride or anything else she wants.
-
4
Assess her situation. What is it she wants most? Time to see friends? Time to shop? Time to go to the movies? Time with you?
-
5
Give gifts. Go for old standbys like flowers, jewelry or perfume. Or consider something highly individual, like a new digital camera or a new modem.
-
6
Tell her just how much you appreciate all the work she does every day in caring for your children.
-
7
Write her a note or a song or make her something that lets her know that the flame between you - despite all the noise and energy of the children - is still burning hot.
-
8
Take over the chores that are usually hers.

Tips & Warnings
Avoid giving her a large gift - like a car or a boat - unless you know it's something she really wants and you've already had some discussions about the purchase.

#5 "Or consider something highly individual, like... a new modem." I'm so dumb, why didn't I think of that. I bet you will have a really smooth marriage once you bring home a "new modem". LOL -

If you want your man to pull "his share" of house duties then pull "your share" of bringing home a paycheck. -

SHE NEEDS YOU TO LISTEN! DON'T OFFER A SOLUTION UNLESS SHE ASKS FOR ONE! PULL YOU SHARE OF THE RAISING OF THE CHILDREN, HOUSEHOLD DUTIES, ETC. FROM EXPERIENCE!!!..MY DH THINKS THAT JUST BECAUSE HE BRINGS A CK HOME THAT HE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE! I WORK ALSO BUT IT IS UP TO ME TO SEE THAT HOMEWORK IS COMPLETED, READING IS DONE, TRUMPET IS PRACTICED, SUPPER IS ON THE TABLE, HOUSE CLEANED, ETC. HE DOES anything FOR EVERYONE ELSE BUT I AM LAST ON THE LIST. -

If you suggest going to the gym or riding a bike when you wife doesn't normally do that, especially if she's "pleasantly plump", she may end up blowing up and accusing you of thinking she is fat.
