Celebrate a decade of marriage with tin and aluminum. According to tradition, tin is the ideal 10-year wedding anniversary gift, but if you want to go the more modern route, Aluminum is the way to go. It doesn't sound very exciting, but look hard and you'll find some real gems made out of these metals.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Metal Picture Frames
  • Gourmet Coffees
  • Tin Of Gourmet Cookies
  • Coffeepots
  • Credit Cards And Loans
  • Diamond Cufflinks
  • Anniversary Greeting Cards
  • Diamond Earrings
  • Gift Certificates

Step1
Decide between the traditional gift and the contemporary for the 10th anniversary of your marriage. When shopping for a couple, keep both partners in mind.
Step2
Celebrate number 10 with tin and aluminum gifts, if you're sticking to ancient tradition. Place your gift in a pretty aluminum bucket from a gardening store, or choose an antique toy made from tin; aluminum is also used these days for modern-looking lamps and picture frames.
Step3
Choose a contemporary gift of diamond jewelry. To spare your wallet, choose tiny studs for her, diamond cufflinks or tie tack for him.
Step4
Select or make a gift enclosure card, and remember to make it personal.
Step5
Wrap your gift with care and thought. If possible, deliver it in person.

Tips & Warnings

  • Think creatively when searching for a gift. Tin could mean a tin of homemade cookies, gourmet coffee or buttons the couple collects.
  • Fun "diamonds" include baseball tickets, rhinestones and crystal.
  • Consider both halves when choosing gifts for a couple. Maybe that means one thoughtful present instead of two.
