How to Make Photo Refrigerator Magnets for Mom

By eHow Hobbies, Games & Toys Editor
Rate: (0 Ratings)

Keep those favorite photos where Mom can see them - on the refrigerator.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Cut out the photo to the size you want. You may want to make a color copy if you don't want to cut up the original.

  2. Step 2

Use craft glue to attach the picture to a piece of medium-weight cardboard. Cut the cardboard to the same size and shape as the picture.

  3. Step 3

Glue a magnet to the back of the picture; let the glue dry completely.

  4. Step 4

Try an alternative method: use peel-and-stick type magnets, sticking the picture to the magnet and then cutting the shape out with scissors.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be creative. Use pictures from magazines, group family members together from different photos, reduce kid's favorite refrigerator art on a color copier, make fancy edges with shape-cutting craft scissors, and don't restrict yourself to rectangles and squares.

on 11/22/2005 I took red foam and cut out the shape of an apple, then I cut another apple the same size. On one of the apples I cut a square the size of my boys picture, then glued them together. I cut out pieces to look like a stem and a leaf, then cut and used a small white piece to make the apple look shiny. I gave it to my son's pre-school teacher and she loved it.
