How to Celebrate Mother's Day With Your Stepmother

Send your stepmom a card and flowers and be sure to tell her how much she means to you.

Things You'll Need:

  • Mother's Day Greeting Cards
  • Blank Note Card
  1. Step 1

    Think about all the things your stepmom has done for you and the ways in which she has been a second mother to you.

  2. Step 2

    Buy her a special card. There are Mother's Day cards specifically for stepmoms. If you can't find a card you like, write a note inside a blank card expressing your feelings.

  3. Step 3

    Arrange to spend some time with her before, during or after Mother's Day. Think about her interests and something she would enjoy doing.

  4. Step 4

    Take her out to lunch or to a movie. Maybe she would like come to your home for dinner instead.

  5. Step 5

    Give her a small gift as a token of your feelings. A pretty scarf, good book or nice pair of earrings might be a perfect gift.

  6. Step 6

    Call to wish her a happy Mother's Day if you won't be seeing her, and be sure to tell her how important she is to you.

  • If you and your stepmom do not get along, Mother's Day can provide a great opportunity to mend some fences. Make the first move. Call her, visit her or send her a card indicating that you want to improve your relationship and hope that you can put bad feelings aside.
