on 3/15/2006 Now I don't know what the method may really be called, but I found it to be an exceptional way to carry skis. Although a little more tricky to setup than just using your shoulders, it allows a more stable carry for long distances.
It's simple.
1. Place your ski's together, back to back locked together with the breaks.
2. Lace the back portion of your skis through one strap on one pole.
3. Lace the front portion of your skis through one strap on one pole
4. Lace each pole through the other poles strap and you now have a handle -made from your poles to easily carry your skis and poles in one hand.
