Skiing nor ski lessons are inexpensive endeavor, so you need to make sure the instructor addresses and answers questions you may have.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Allow the instructor to greet you. The instructor should ask you what goals you have for the lesson and she/he should explain some basic goals for the class.

  2. Step 2

Ride the lift at least once with your instructor. This is the perfect time to chat and ask questions about what you're learning.

  3. Step 3

Ask questions when the need arises. Did the instructor attempt to answer the question?

  4. Step 4

Ask for demonstrations of verbal explanations. How do I make a better wedge? Where do I want to plant my pole?

  5. Step 5

Determine what you learned. Has you skiing improved?

  6. Step 6

Did you have a good time? It may be called ski "school" but it's supposed to be fun.

  7. Step 7

Let your instructor tell you what skills you need to work on and what you excelled at.
