Can't spend the Easter weekend in each other's arms? Do the next best thing and surprise your lover with an Easter basket.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Buy or make an Easter basket (see Related eHows for the homemade variety).
Step2
Fill the bottom of the basket with dried straw or Easter grass, or make your own (see Related eHows).
Step3
Tuck in a gift that your long-distance lover will appreciate: a framed photo of the two of you, a bottle of his or her favorite perfume or cologne, or a stuffed Easter bunny that's really cute, not tacky.
Step4
Fill in the extra space with chocolate eggs, a chocolate bunny, jelly beans or other favorite treats.
Step5
Write a letter professing your love and your sorrow that you can't spend this weekend together, and stick it in the basket.
Step6
Decorate the basket with ribbons, toys or even suggestive items that you might enjoy together on your next visit.
Step7
Include a plane ticket to visit on Easter weekend if you've got the extra cash but be sure to mail it in time.
Step8
Find a box that will fit the basket without crushing it, and send it in time for an Easter arrival.

Tips & Warnings

  • Have a little fun with this and be creative. Include items that are personal and sure to make your long-distance lover long for you over the Easter weekend.
  • Avoid sending colored hard-boiled eggs. Consider the horror if they were to break or rot en route to your lover!
