These wings are downright addictive. The recipe below makes appetizers for six.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 4 tsp. light brown sugar
  • 5 tbsp. ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. canola oil - plus more for the grill
  • 1 c. hoisin sauce
  • 36 chicken wings
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  • 3 tbsp. chili sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 8 garlic cloves - peeled and minced

Step1
Stir together the canola oil, 6 tbsp. of the hoisin sauce, salt, 1 tsp. of the sugar, pepper and garlic in a large bowl. Mix well to dissolve the sugar.
Step2
Place the wings in the marinade and toss well to coat. Marinate for a minimum of 3 hours.
Step3
Mix together the remaining hoisin sauce, ketchup, chili sauce and remaining sugar.
Step4
Light a grill to medium heat.
Step5
When the grill is hot, brush the grate with some additional oil. Quickly add the wings to the grill.
Step6
Grill, turning occasionally, for a total of about 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with the dipping sauce on the side.
