How to Navigate in Forms Method in TurboTax

TurboTax for tax year 1999 provides many ways to move around within a form, to go from form to form, and to move around within the program.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Use the Open a Form button to open a new form.

  2. Step 2

    Use the Form Errors button to find mistakes before proceeding to the next form or step.

  3. Step 3

    Use the Final Review button to have TurboTax check your work and raise questions.

  4. Step 4

    Click the Help button to get help with a specific portion of a form.

  5. Step 5

    Use the Tab or Enter key to move from field to field on a specific form (use Shift+Tab to return to the previous field).

  6. Step 6

    Click on a line in a form to select it.

  7. Step 7

    Press Ctrl+Home to go to the beginning of a form.

  8. Step 8

    Press Ctrl+End to go to the end of a form.

  9. Step 9

    Click the QuickZoom button at the end of the Federal Information Worksheet to progress to Form 1040.

  10. Step 10

    Click the QuickZoom icon (a small magnifying glass) to open a form related to the current line on any given form.

  11. Step 11

    Click Close Form at the top of the related form's window to return to the original form.

  12. Step 12

    Select the name of a form from the list in the Window menu to go to that form.

  13. Step 13

    Press Ctrl+F6 to switch between two open forms.
