Here's how to play the fast-paced party game perfected (almost) by Drew Carey and his hilarious cast on "Whose Line Is It Anyway."

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Beverages
  • Party Snacks
  • Stopwatches

Step1
Choose two players to act out a scene with you.
Step2
Have your audience select a scenario - anything from "avoiding an encounter with a bear" to "standing in line to buy concert tickets."
Step3
Let the audience pick any letter of the alphabet with which to begin.
Step4
Give someone a watch to time the skit for two minutes - or 90 seconds if you really want a challenge.
Step5
Begin as soon as the timer says, "Go!"
Step6
Use the initial letter to begin a sentence relevant to the scene.
Step7
Wait until player #2 uses the next letter of the alphabet to begin his or her sentence.
Step8
Be patient while player #3 uses the subsequent letter.
Step9
Take your turn next and rotate until your team has gone through the 26 letters of the alphabet and ended with the first letter you used - or until time has expired.
Step10
Have other teams of three act out other scenes.
Step11
Judge teams by speed, emotive skills, aptness, creativity or whichever standards your group chooses.

Tips & Warnings

  • Suppose your team is acting out "avoiding an encounter with a bear" and the first letter to use is Q. This is how the team might start: "Quiet, there's a bear." "Run!" "Stay still; we're not supposed to run." "Think ... "
