How to Choose Children's Easter Books

Add an Easter book to a child's Easter basket. It's a good way to encourage reading and a love of books. You'll also be avoiding giving too much candy.

  1. Step 1

    Go to your local bookstore and browse in the special children's Easter display area.

  2. Step 2

    Search online bookstores for children's Easter books.

  3. Step 3

    Realize that there are many types of Easter fiction for children. Many popular characters such as Barney, Clifford and the Berenstain Bears are featured in stories about Easter. Other books tell stories about bunnies or ducks with Easter themes.

  4. Step 4

    Consider purchasing a children's Bible or Bible stories book.

  5. Step 5

    Notice any lift-the-flap or pop-up books that are available.

  6. Step 6

    Remember to consider nonfiction books about chicks, ducks, rabbits or baby animals.

  7. Step 7

    Look through some of the Easter activity, coloring and puzzle books.

  8. Step 8

    Remember to buy board books for babies and toddlers, and to match a book's reading level to the child's age.

  9. Step 9

    Add the book to the child's Easter basket or wrap it and give it as a gift.
