-
Step 1
Save empty milk cartons from school lunches or use 8-ounce whipping cream containers.
-
Step 2
Wash the cartons thoroughly and allow them to air dry.
-
Step 3
Cut off the entire slanted top of the carton, leaving a square without a top.
-
Step 4
Have participants decorate a strip of tagboard that will be the basket's handle.
-
Step 5
Staple or glue the tagboard to the inside of two sides of the carton to create a handle.
-
Step 6
Allow the participants to decorate the cartons as they wish. Provide colored paper, ribbon, glue, bits of fabric, colored tissue paper and stickers.
-
Step 7
Try covering the outside of the carton with cotton balls. Create a face on one side out of construction paper, using pipe cleaners for whiskers and jelly beans for eyes to make a bunny.
-
Step 8
Fill the baskets with Easter grass and add candy as a treat.
