The major you choose in college doesn't set the course for the rest of your life; it's merely a starting point. What's important is following your interests and discovering what you love to do.

on 11/22/2005 There are online communities dedicated to almost every major. If you are interested in science, join a science forum. You can see what is going on in that community, the types of discussion, and the hot topics. It's the same for any major. Good luck!

on 11/22/2005 Ask people in the community that are actually working in the field you might be interested in about the job itself. They will be your best resource as far as what the job actually entails-things like: pay rate, skills & education needed, working conditions, growth, etc.
No book can prepare you for what you need to know better than those actually in the field. A little homework here will pay off greatly!!

on 11/22/2005 Remember that it's never too late to change your major if you're unhappy. An extra couple of years can spare a person a lifetime of misery in a career that is wrong for him/her.
