How to Decorate Eggs With Crayons
The wax in crayons prevents dye from sticking to your Easter eggs. You can use a crayon to make stripes, polka dots and zigzags. Does this Spark an idea?

Hard boil several white eggs and let them cool. (See "How to Boil an Egg," under Related eHows.)

Prepare the egg dye. (See "How to Dye Easter Eggs," under Related eHows.)

Leave the eggs in the dye for at least 3 minutes, until they are the desired color.

Remove the eggs from the dye and allow them to dry.

Place the eggs in an oven at 200 degrees F for 5 minutes, until the crayon softens.

Wipe the crayon off with a paper towel.

Store the colored eggs in an egg carton in the refrigerator.

If you want to leave the crayon design on the eggs, stop after completing step 6.
