How to Change a Link Sitewide With Dreamweaver

Although Dreamweaver 3 automatically changes links to local files that are moved or renamed, you have to specify when outside links change. At least you can change them all at once!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Start Dreamweaver and open the desired Web site or page.

  2. Step 2

    Open the Window menu and select Site.

  3. Step 3

    Open the Site menu and select Change Link Sitewide.

  4. Step 4

    Type the name of the link to be changed in the Change All Links To box.

  5. Step 5

    Type the name the new link in the Into Links To field. Click OK.

Tips & Warnings
  • The Change Link Sitewide command allows you to change hyperlinks, e-mail addresses and even script links.
