Tips & Warnings
It helps to start out with a small frame. If your frame is large, the bike may still be a little awkward, but it will get you by until you can get a different frame.
When you replace the handlebars and stem, you may have to experiment a bit to find the most comfortable combination.
You may have to cut your seatpost to lower it to a position that you want. If you want to keep switching your bike back and forth, it might be better to buy another seatpost and keep one full length and cut the other one.
When it comes time to add a chain guide device, you may have to replace your cranks as well. It all depends on the compatibility. If you are unsure, check with your local bike shop.
Some tires will be too wide for the frame and they will rub against the frame tubes. Check with your local bike shop to find the best sized tire.
Always wear your helmet.
Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous activity that can result in
serious injury or death. We recommend that you seek proper training and
equipment before attempting this activity.
