How to Get Sponsored as a Pro or Amateur Surfer

1. Surf often and at different breaks to get exposure and experience in different waves.

2. Enter local contests and perform well for the judges.

3. Befriend a photographer who can shoot stills and ask your mom, boyfriend or girlfriend to videotape you surfing.

4. Compile videotape and photos, along with a surfing résumé, and present them to surf shops and surf company team managers.

5. Be friendly and have a positive attitude when talking to potential sponsors.
