Known primarily for its auto racing, Daytona Beach has become a spring break haven for sun-loving college students throughout the Southeast.

From Quick Guide: Get Away for Spring
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Drive directly to Daytona or fly into Orlando, where Daytona is a short hopper flight or drive west.

  2. Step 2

Wear little besides a bathing suit and sunscreen (sometimes you might skip the former).

  3. Step 3

Search out MTV and other news crews that are more than willing to broadcast exhibitionist behavior.

  4. Step 4

Cruise the strip along the beach at night for the hottest bars; they fluctuate in popularity from year to year.

  5. Step 5

Skydive, parasail, water-ski and frolic in the warm Atlantic.

  6. Step 6

Detour to Disney World just outside Orlando to experience the various theme parks.

  7. Step 7

Keep a sharp eye out for the elusive sand alligator, a little-known species that lies under large beach towels.

Tips & Warnings
  • Stretch your back and abdominal muscles before attempting to set the beach limbo record.
  • Lots of partying goes on here. Use a designated driver or take taxis at all times.

on 3/15/2006 The local Chamber of Commerce pre sells all access club passes at the beginning of each week. This pass will save you hundreds in one week, get you into the main clubs (Razzles and 600 North), and allow you to drink your first two hours for free.
