You can save a bundle of money if you purchase with discounts. Your buying habits and affiliations determine what discounts are available.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Using Cards and Memberships You Already Have

Step1
Call your affiliations (credit cards, travel clubs, memberships etc.) to see if you are entitled to discounts on products and services. Have them send you a pamphlet with details.
Step2
Call the retailers that accept the discounts and verify their participation.
Step3
Present the applicable cards/memberships and photo I.D. at the time of purchase.

Retailers and Wholesalers

Step1
Talk to the managers of the wholesale and retail stores you frequent if you buy in bulk or own a business.
Step2
Ask if you can receive discounts for buying five or more of the same item, especially a high-priced item.
Step3
Ask for business discounts if you are a retailer or wholesaler.
Step4
Ask if you can get a discount for paying invoices promptly.
Step5
Get all discount promises in writing, and present them at time of purchase.
