Tired of getting flat tires? Try adding tire sealant to your inner tubes. (This only works for tubes with Schrader valves.)

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Deflate the tire.

  2. Step 2

Remove the inner tube's valve core using the proper tool, which should be included with the tire sealant.

  3. Step 3

Shake the bottle of tire sealant.

  4. Step 4

Rotate the wheel so that the valve is at the 4 o'clock position.

  5. Step 5

Attach the bottle spout to the valve with the supplied tubing.

  6. Step 6

Inject the tire sealant slowly - stop when you have injected four ounces of the sealant.

  7. Step 7

Remove the tube once the sealant has cleared the valve stem.

  8. Step 8

Thread the valve core back into the valve stem.

  9. Step 9

    Inflate the tire.

  10. Step 10

Spin the tire so that the sealant moves around the tube.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have Presta valves, buy tubes with the tire sealant already installed.
  • Always pump up your tire with the valve at 4 o'clock.
