The proud dragon is the only mythical creature in the Chinese zodiac. Here's how to spot one of Chinese astrology's most dignified and outspoken animals. (Alternatively, spoilsports can try to sneak a peek at the dragon's driver's license: 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988 and 2000 are all dragon years.)

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Watch out for those with an eye on material things; dragons are easily impressed with wealth and splendor.
Step2
Pay attention to the independent-minded. Dragons are self-sufficient creatures, so much so that at times they cannot fulfill even their own expectations.
Step3
Listen for acquaintances who are blunt with those around them. Dragons are a tad bit arrogant and are not in the least afraid to speak their minds.
Step4
Ask yourself if a suspected dragon is outgoing. He or she is likely to make friends and impress acquaintances with ease.
Step5
Look to see if the potential dragon carries himself or herself with an air of confidence. Dragons trust their own abilities implicitly.

Tips & Warnings

  • Beware the fire breather's temper - if you know someone with a volatile disposition, you may have a dragon on your hands.
