Give your bike a quick visual check and look for anything unusual. Make sure the brakes are hooked up, the quick releases are secure and there are no gross malformities elewhere on your bike.

Lube your chain if it looks dry or rusty.

Check to see that your seat is adjusted to the height you desire.

Hop on your bike and pedal around the neighborhood.

Make sure you can shift into every gear and your brakes are functioning.

Fill up your water bottles.
