How to Insert an Image on a Web Page With Dreamweaver

Use images to add flair or show products on your Web site. These instructions are for Dreamweaver 3.0.

Things You’ll Need:

• Macromedia Dreamweaver

1. Start the Dreamweaver program and open the appropriate page.
2. Position the cursor where the image will be inserted.
3. Choose Image from the Insert menu or click on the Insert Image button on Objects palette.
4. Browse your hard disk to locate the image to be inserted and click OK.
5. Change the image properties, such as the precise height, width, alignment, and other options, by selecting the image, then right-clicking and choosing Properties from the menu that appears.
6. Select the image and drag the edge handles that appear to increase or decrease the image size.
7. Save the page when finished.
8. Preview the page in a Web browser by choosing Preview in Browser from the File menu. From the dialog box, choose which browser to use.

Tips & Warnings

• Assign a link to an image with the Link option in the Image Properties dialog box. Type the URL or choose Browse for Page to locate the URL.
• Edit the image by right-clicking and choosing Edit With from the menu. Select an image editor to use; it will open.
