How to Create a Web Page With Dreamweaver

Shares & Saves

With Dreamweaver, you can create a Web page using a visual approach (like a standard desktop publishing program) and HTML together. Dreamweaver is powerful, but starting a new page is easy as opening a menu! These instructions use Dreamweaver 3.0.

Things You'll Need

  • Macromedia Dreamweaver
  • Start the Dreamweaver program.

  • From the File menu, choose New. A blank page appears.

  • Add the components of the page (links, images, and so on) using the toolbars or menus. Click and type to add text.

  • Select File and choose Save As to save your work when finished.

  • Choose Preview in Browser from the File menu and select the desired browser to preview your work.

Tips & Warnings

  • Save the Web page you are working on as a template by choosing Save As Template from the File menu. When creating new Web pages, choose New from Template to use that template.
  • See the Related eHows for information on adding images, links, text and other components.
