How to Create a Web Page With Dreamweaver

With Dreamweaver, you can create a Web page using a visual approach (like a standard desktop publishing program) and HTML together. Dreamweaver is powerful, but starting a new page is easy as opening a menu! These instructions use Dreamweaver 3.0.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Start the Dreamweaver program.

  2. Step 2

    From the File menu, choose New. A blank page appears.

  3. Step 3

    Add the components of the page (links, images, and so on) using the toolbars or menus. Click and type to add text.

  4. Step 4

    Select File and choose Save As to save your work when finished.

  5. Step 5

    Choose Preview in Browser from the File menu and select the desired browser to preview your work.

Tips & Warnings
  • Save the Web page you are working on as a template by choosing Save As Template from the File menu. When creating new Web pages, choose New from Template to use that template.
