How to Respond to a Meeting Request in Outlook

When you receive a meeting invitation in Microsoft Outlook 2000, you can accept it or reject it, or say that you might be able to attend.

• Microsoft Outlook

Instructions

1. Open the e-mail meeting request.

2. Check your schedule, if necessary, by clicking on the Calendar icon in Outlook's far left pane.

3. Click on the Inbox icon to return to the message.

4. Click on Accept, Tentative or Decline.

5. Add comments to your response if you wish.

6. Click on the Reply button to send the message.

Tips & Warnings

• Drag the meeting request to the Calendar icon in the left-hand window to open a meeting window that contains the details from the e-mail message. Click Save and Close to add the meeting to your schedule.
