- Ski Hats
- Warm Clothes
- Ski Gloves
- Ski Poles
- Snowshoes

Step 1
Face up the hill you want to climb.

Step 2
Turn your toes outwards so that they form a 45-degree angle. Your snowshoes will make a V-shape.

Plant your poles on both sides of your body for balance.

Take a step with the right foot, keeping the toes pointed out.

Step 5
Place your entire right foot flat on the snow. This will allow for a maximum amount of surface area to be in contact with the snow and improve your traction.

Move your left foot over your right foot, keeping both sets of toes pointed away from your body.

Step 7
Plant your left foot as you did the right.

Step 8
Lift your poles, replanting them further up the hill.

Step 9
Continue up the hill until you reach your destination.
