  • Martial Arts Videos

Step1
Step to your right if the attacker steps forward and punches with the left hand, and at the same time, strike at the attacker's punching arm near the elbow with your left open palm. This will block the attacker's punch away from you.
Step2
Punch to your attacker's exposed midsection with your right fist. Immediately follow with a punch to the same area with your left fist. Pull back with one arm, keeping it at your side as a guard as you punch with the other.
Step3
Run away as the attacker struggles to recover.

Tips & Warnings

  • As you punch with one hand, pull back the other hand in a fist at your side. Use the power of opposite pull to increase power.
  • Punch directly to your target using your leg and hips to gain power. Turn the wrist of your punching hand just before contact increase power.
  • Self defense techniques can cause severe injury. Be cautious when you practice with a partner.
  • If confronted by an attacker, always try to escape first.
