Nothing creates a romantic and sentimental feeling like lace. Add it to your valentines to really express yourself.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Use leftover scraps of lace, new lace you've purchased, or used lace you've removed from clothing that's no longer wearable.
Step2
Remove all threads or bits of material left on your used lace.
Step3
Cut off any ends that are frayed.
Step4
Dye the lace different colors, such as pink or red.
Step5
Spray the lace with starch and iron it to make it stiffer if you wish.
Step6
Create your valentine out of card stock, construction paper or fabric in any size or shape you wish.
Step7
Add lace as an edging around the outside of the valentine. Use craft glue to secure the lace to the card.
Step8
Consider adding some lace to small fabric hearts and then gluing them to the card.
Step9
Try weaving a thin ribbon through the lace and then attaching it to the card for added elegance.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use glue sparingly when attaching lace. Because the lace has so many holes, the glue tends to seep through. Paint glue on with a brush to avoid this problem.
