How to Add Special Characters to a Web Page Using Netscape Composer

Illustrate your point with special characters, such as fractions or accented letters, using Netscape Composer, a free Web page editing tool from Netscape.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Netscape Composer
  1. Step 1

    Start Composer and open the page to be edited.

  2. Step 2

    Click on the Tools menu and select Character Tools, then Insert Special Characters. A dialog box will appear.

  3. Step 3

    Choose the special character to be inserted and click on it.

  4. Step 4

    Repeat the process to insert another special character.

  5. Step 5

    Save the page when finished, and preview it by clicking the Preview button or choosing Browse Page from the File menu.

Tips & Warnings
  • While Composer does offer the most common special characters, the list is not definitive. See Related eHows for more on inserting special characters in a Web page.
