Jump off the wake and grab the rail of your kneeboard in the air for a trick that looks killer from the boat. This is one of the first ways to start styling out your kneeboard aerials.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately challenging

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Start from the left side of the wake and cut hard toward it, gaining as much speed as possible by pulling the handle toward your left hip.
Step2
Jump off the wake and pull the handle toward your stomach as you enter the air.
Step3
Keep your upper body facing the direction you're traveling in.
Step4
Keep your arm bent as you hold the handle in the air. Allowing it to straighten will cause you to nose-dive.
Step5
Raise your left hip sideways toward your shoulder so that the bottom of the board faces the boat.
Step6
Release your left hand from the handle and grab onto the rail of your kneeboard.
Step7
Release the rail and grab back onto the handle as you begin to descend from the air.
Step8
Return your hips to an upright riding position, getting the bottom of your board level to the water.
Step9
Lean back and against the boat's pull as you land, making sure the tail of your board lands before the nose.

Tips & Warnings

  • Pull the handle toward your stomach as you jump, to create slack. This will make it much easier to raise your rail and to hold on with only one hand.
  • For extra tweak, pull the board up with your hand as you grab the rail.
  • The ultimate goal of this trick to raise the bottom so high that it faces upward.
  • Always wear a life vest and observe proper boating safety when kneeboarding.
