Music and romance go hand in hand. Update your CD collection so that you can continually enjoy the romantic songs that are a part of your past.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Listen to soft rock radio stations and rediscover romantic songs from your teenage and college years. After dark, many of these stations play love songs exclusively.

  2. Step 2

Do the same with country music stations, if that was the music from your glory days.

  3. Step 3

Stay awake and pay attention to late-night cable commercials offering CDs of romantic songs from the '50s through the '80s. Some of those collections offer dozens of songs from each decade.

  4. Step 4

Consider buying the soundtracks from your favorite romantic movies.

  5. Step 5

Get suggestions from friends with similar tastes in music. Or consult music store clerks, who are typically knowledgeable about all types of music.

  6. Step 6

Collect your favorite artists' entire works. You will enjoy the music for decades to come, regardless of what is in the top 10.

Tips & Warnings
  • Replace your favorite love song cassettes with the CD versions.

on 11/22/2005 If you're really unsure of what's romantic, Luther Vandross and Sade are two great choices. Universally, these two are known for their smooth vocals and sensual style. Combine these soothing melodies with soft scented candles (like those with vanilla fragrance) for immediate impact.

on 11/22/2005 If you're after a romantic group, I'd recommend you check out Mazzy Star. Pretty much all their songs are soft and sensual.

on 11/22/2005 I think slow old-fashioned jazz, with soft female vocals or just instrumental, is very sexy. I love Etta James' "At last."

on 11/22/2005 Download some music via Kazaa, and burn it onto a CD-R. Use classical music pieces, like "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven. It shows culture...Well, except for poor handwriting on the CD-R.
