Based on a technique developed by the ancient Egyptians, sugaring removes hair using a natural ingredient - sugar. The procedure is gentle on your skin, and if accidentally swallowed, tastes delicious.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Understand that sugar is mixed into a paste (basic ingredients are sugar, water and lemon juice) and warmed.

  2. Step 2

Be ready for the warmed sugar to be spread thinly, applied in the same direction as the way the hair is growing.

  3. Step 3

Realize that cotton strips are pressed into the paste, and left to dry.

  4. Step 4

Watch as the strips are then pulled out in the opposite direction.

  5. Step 5

See that your skin is now silky smooth.

  6. Step 6

Know that you will need to be re-sugared every four to six weeks.

  7. Step 7

Use sugaring anywhere on your body, except men's beards, because beards have a network of hair root systems unfazed by sugaring.

  8. Step 8

Be comforted to know sugaring is made from 100% all natural ingredients.

  9. Step 9

Prepare to spend $10 to $15 per jar of paste for at-home treatment, which is the most popular form of treatment. The cost for professional treatment, which is usually a flat fee rather than an hourly fee, varies depending on body part.
