A custom slide show is like a show within a show or chapters in an electronic book. You can create the slide show in PowerPoint 98/2000, then go to the various "chapters" during the show and view those sections of the presentation.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Open your PowerPoint presentation.
Step2
Go to the Slide Show menu and select Custom Shows.
Step3
Click New and type the name of the first custom show in the Slide Show Name field.
Step4
Hold down the Control key (Windows) or Shift key (Mac OS) and select each slide that will be part of this custom slide show in the sequence in which they will appear.
Step5
Click OK.
Step6
Repeat steps 2-5 to create additional custom slide shows.
Step7
Click Close when you have created all of your custom slide shows.

Tips & Warnings

  • To edit a custom slide show, go to the Slide Show menu and select Custom Show. Select the show you want to edit and click Edit.
