How to Make Pumpkin Pecan Pie

If you want to opt for something more than the traditional pumpkin pie, here's the dessert for you. From the recipes of Libby's Pumpkin, this recipe serves eight.

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 tbsp. softened butter
  • 1 c. canned pumpkin
  • 5/6 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2/3 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell
  • 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Groceries
  • Electric Mixers (with Bowl)
  • Knife
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Mixing Spoons
  • Knife
  • Mixing bowls
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Step 2

    Combine pumpkin, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 egg and pumpkin pie spice in medium bowl; stir well. Spread over bottom of pie shell - this is your pumpkin layer.

  3. Step 3

    Combine corn syrup, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, butter and vanilla extract in medium bowl; stir in nuts. Spoon over pumpkin layer - this is your pecan layer.

  4. Step 4

    Bake for 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

  5. Step 5

    Cool on wire rack.
