Looking for some quiet or fairly tame games for a kid with a Nintendo 64? They do exist.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Determine which type of game interests the child the most. There's Toy Story 2, Elmo, Pokemon, Glover, Hot Wheels, Lego Racers, tennis, golf, snowboarding, and even chess for a budding prodigy.

  2. Step 2

Decide how much you're willing to pay for a game. Because game prices vary widely, price can often be the deciding factor.

  3. Step 3

Read reviews to hear what experts and other gamers have to say. Reviews are widely available online and in magazines and can provide insight into graphics, content, target age range, and game play features.

  4. Step 4

Buy through the shopping list below or through your favorite online or retail store.

Tips & Warnings
  • Generally speaking, the longer a game has been out on the market, the less it will cost. Newly released games are usually the most expensive ones.
  • Consider renting a video game before actually buying it. There's no better way to assess a game.
