Things You'll Need:
- Flannel Shirts (men)
- Old Jeans
- Nirvana CDs
- Kurt & Courtney Videos
-
Step 1
Hunt down a copy of Kurt's very first recorded single, "Love Buzz," which was released by Sup Pop records in 1988.
-
Step 2
Pick up all of Kurt's CDs from his band, Nirvana and play them throughout the day. In chronological order, Nirvana's albums are "Bleach", "Nevermind" and "In Utero."
-
Step 3
Rent the controversial documentary film, "Kurt and Courtney," from your local video purveyor. This edgy film directed by Nick Broomfield reveals many unknown facts about the singer, as well as intense speculation regarding his death.
-
Step 4
Put on a flannel, your oldest pair of jeans and revel in the easily attainable look of bed-head. Cobain was one of the precursors of the Grunge movement, which glorified the laid-back, casual look popular in Seattle at the time.
-
Step 5
Look into volunteer programs that help victims of heroin abuse. During the last several years of his life, Kurt struggled with a crippling heroin addiction that affected everyone around him.
-
Step 6
Check out a few of Kurt Cobain's favorite old-school bands like The Vaselines and The Meat Puppets, both of which Kurt claims had a strong influence on his music.

on 8/8/2006 Sit and listen to every song by Kurt with the lights out, write some poetry in dedication to Kurt, get a liter bottle of vodka and neck it, wake up the next day and not remember any of it.

on 8/8/2006 Dearest Editor,
\tYou were missing a few albums of Nirvana's... Studio albums in chronological order are: Bleach, Nevermind, Incesticide, and In Utero. Those released post-humously are: Nirvana Unplugged in New York, and From the Muddy Banks of Wishka.
\tThank you for your time.
\tLove,
\tAbby

on 8/8/2006 Don't forget the series of Outcesticides, as well as the "into the black" box set and all the live shows. But what me n my buddies like to do, is just sit around in a circle and smoke pot all day wearing our plaid and listening to Nirvana. Wish you were here, Kurt. We will miss you.

on 6/30/2006 Check out -Heavier Than Heaven- probably the most accurate biography written about Kurt. Read the last few chapters, they will leave you in tears. These chapters describe his last hours alive.
