Instructions

    • 1

Peel off the plastic backing sheet that covers the tacky (slightly sticky) surface of the transfer.

    • 2

Place the transfer, tacky side down, on your surface of choice.

    • 3

Use a pencil to rub back and forth over the transfer.

    • 4

Make sure that you have rubbed the pencil over the entire design.

    • 5

Slowly pull off the backing of the transfer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some rub-on transfer packages come with a special wooden or plastic tool that you use to rub the design. The hard surface of a pencil, however, will do just fine.

  • Avoid placing your rub-on transfer onto fabric items. They will not adhere properly and are not washable.

  • Rub-ons are inexpensive and can be purchased online and at stores that sell craft and graphic arts supplies.
