    Before You Shop

  1. Step 1

Decide what you want the air bags for: towing, ride assistance or height adjustment.

  2. Step 2

Decide on some brands you want to check out. You can educate yourself about air bag brands via specialty car magazines.

  3. Finding a Shop

  4. Step 1

Attend car shows. In many cases, owners of show cars added air bags when they lowered their cars.

  5. Step 2

Check the appropriate magazines, such as Lowrider, Truckin', and Super Chevy.

  6. Step 3

    Check the Yellow Pages.

  7. Step 4

Choose three to four shops you can investigate.

  8. At the Shop

  9. Step 1

Find out what brands of air bag the shop carries. Do you recognize the brand?

Ask how long the shop has been in business.

  12. Step 4

Ask about guarantees and warranties. Good shops will have a warranty on parts and a lifetime guarantee on labor.

  13. Step 5

Choose the shop where you are most comfortable.
