Crayola makes lots of fun and different markers.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know that Crayola is one of the best-known makers or markers for children. Crayola markers are all of high quality.

  2. Step 2

Understand the different lines of markers that Crayola sells, and select the type that is right for the child you are shopping for.

  3. Step 3

Remember that Crayola markers are only washable when the package clearly says "Washable."

  4. Step 4

Notice that Crayola markers come in three different tip sizes. There are Broad Line markers with wide tips, Thin Line markers with thin tips, and Super Tips that can make broad or thin lines depending on how you position the marker against the paper.

  5. Step 5

Look at the specialty tips, such as the Thin Line Brush Tip, which acts like a paintbrush, and the MiniStampers series, with tips that are like pre-inked stamps.

  6. Step 6

Recognize that there are Kid's First Washable Markers designed for children who are just learning to draw.

  7. Step 7

Realize that you can also purchase Color Wipeoff Markers for wipe-off boards, Color Changeables - markers that change color when drawn over by another marker, and Color Overs - markers that change color when you wear special glasses and color over them with special markers.

  8. Step 8

Be aware that Crayola markers come in various color groups. Classic colors are traditional colors, bold colors are a bit bolder and darker, and Techno Brite colors are neon shades. There are also some specialty color groups like Rainbow, Cosmic and Sun Splashed.

  9. Step 9

Expect to pay under $3 for any box of Crayola markers you choose.

  10. Step 10

Order your markers from the shopping list below or from a variety of online or local stores.
