How to Make Cutout Hearts

Making a valentine for someone you love can be tricky if your heart isn't in shape. Here's a quick tip to get it right every time.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Scissors
• Scissors
• Pencils
• Card Stock
• Construction Paper
• Pencils
• Pencils

1. Fold a piece of paper of any size in half.

2. Lay the paper on a flat surface with the folded edge to the left.

3. Start at the top fold in the paper and lightly draw the top half of a question mark with a pencil.

4. Continue this line diagonally toward the bottom fold in the paper, stopping only when the pencil reaches that fold.

5. Cut along this line with scissors.

6. When the shape is free from the paper, unfold it.

Tips & Warnings

• Use different-colored construction paper for a variety of colored hearts.

3. Cut out the half heart shape.
4. Unfold the paper, and you have a heart.
