Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • "small, Sharp Scissors"
  1. Step 1

Hold the scissors with the thumb and index fingers in the handles.

  2. Step 2

Rest the scissors against the index finger.

  3. Step 3

Place the item paper in between the blades of the scissors.

  4. Step 4

Feed the paper into the scissors, moving the scissors only up and down, not forward.

  5. Step 5

Cut around the outside or border of the item you are cutting out, always making sure that the line you are cutting around is visible.

Tips & Warnings
  • By keeping the border line visible you can follow it accurately.
  • When using scissors with jagged or curved edges, hold them so that the jagged or curved blade is to the outside. This means pointing to the right for right handers and the left for left handers.
