Trimming frames the glass that will be used as part of a larger picture.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Short Glass
  • Threads Or Glue
  • Work Gloves
Step1
Choose a copper ribbon that is slightly wider than the glass you are working with.
Step2
Place the glass at the center of the copper ribbon.
Step3
Wrap the copper around all sides of the glass, overlapping it a bit where they meet.
Step4
Apply super glue to the ribbon. Be careful to fit the ribbon exactly how you want it since super glue is hard to move.
Step5
Press the ribbon to the glass with your fingers so that the copper attaches to the glass.
Step6
Run the glass cutter along all sides of the glass to remove wrinkles from the copper.
Step7
Wrap the copper around the edges of the glass on both sides so it resembles the letter C.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure the copper ribbon is straight before allowing the glue to dry.
  • Wear work gloves when handling glass.
