How to Spot a Virgo

Virgos, born between August 23 and September 22, embrace order and harmony, which they achieve through discipline, hard work and careful analysis. No issue will remain unsolved for long when one of these cerebral creatures is in the mix.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Look among scholars, engineers and other detail-oriented human beings. Virgos are compelled by the intricacies of life's problems and will stop at nothing to analyze issues and restore order.
Step2
Seek only the most down-to-earth individuals. One who relishes impracticality, hopeless romance and frivolity may be called many things, but never a Virgo!
Step3
Look for a semblance of servitude, pureness of thought and genuine altruism. Virgos, while not typically martyrs, enjoy giving of themselves, even when it is not comfortable. Many butlers, servants and volunteer workers are born under the Virgo sign.
Step4
Ask several people for tax help, plumbing assistance or a grammar lesson. The one who jumps at the chance to lend his or her hand may very well be the Virgo in the room.
Step5
Pay attention to the constructive critics that you know. Virgos are known for their tendency to criticize, although they typically mean well.
Step6
Notice those around you who are self-critical. Virgos are as self-deprecating as they get and can often be found tearing themselves apart unnecessarily. As a direct result, you will also find that most Virgos are meticulously dressed and coifed in an attempt to balance their negative self-image.
Step7
Focus on people who keep their home and car well cared for. Just as they are meticulous in personal care and style, Virgos enjoy a visually pleasing and orderly environment.

Tips & Warnings

  • Virgos are typically most compatible with those born under the signs of Scorpio, Capricorn, Taurus and Cancer.
  • Do not expect a hopeless romantic or an ethereal visionary if you are planning on dating a Virgo. While you will benefit from the Virgo's benevolent, giving character, you will rarely find one who is ruled by emotions.

on 7/8/2007 This doesn't always apply - I'm Virgo but I am a hopeless romantic.

on 3/2/2006 Virgo women love honesty and are very practical. If you need something let them know. Virgos don't like guessing games. Even though we may be reserved, it does not mean we don't care. We prefer to analyze and then react. Not the other way around.

on 11/22/2005 If you want to date a Virgo woman, make sure you show her that you're very confident in everything you do and say. Do not brag about your income or possessions, for this is a big turn off for a Virgo woman. She is not interested. Be thoughtful, but not extravagant in your gifts. She likes to know you are thinking about her even if you give her something unromantic. Also, let her do a little bit of the chasing in the relationship, she likes what she cannot have.

on 11/29/2005 If you hear anybody who talks very critical and intellectual, and uses many up-tight business-like words, and stammers a lot, you'll be sure that the person is a Virgo.
