  • New Catholic Picture Bible/No. 435/22

  • The First Step Bible (Large Print)
  1. Step 1

Look at several different styles of picture Bibles from different publishing companies.

  2. Step 2

Decide on the translation you wish to read to your child. Choose a translation that's easy for the child to understand but is still biblically correct.

  3. Step 3

Choose a picture Bible with a sturdy binding and cover. Pages should be from good paper stock and easy to turn for smaller hands.

  4. Step 4

Study the pictures or artwork and text for accuracy.

  5. Step 5

Pick a Bible that your child can grow with, such as one with visual stories as well as text, so that your child can read to you, too.

Tips & Warnings
  • Talk to other parents in your church and borrow some of their picture Bibles to read to your children to see what holds their interest the best.
